A brief update following the SXP AGM held in Brighton on Sunday 29th November . . .
Following the resignation of the current President and Secretary, the AGM elected a new President (Roger Lewis) and Secretary (Jacky Broad). They are in position as of December but the handover of roles will be ongoing for a little while. Please offer Roger and Jacky the same level of support that Dawn and Alan enjoyed during their time in the roles
Lindsey MacDonnell was re-elected unopposed as Treasurer
The SXP precept for 2016 will remain unchanged at £6
There is a new format membership card being issued by the EPA for 2016 onwards - no need to have the cards stamped by the membership secretary anymore
The EPA have issued their 2016 playing calendar and our playing officer, Tony Mann, will issue the 2016 SXP playing calendar in January
A proposal from Mark Thomas regarding the points system at the Inter-Regional qualifiers was approved by the AGM - from 2016 qualifiers onwards the points differential between each teams finishing position at each round will only be one point (e.g. 1st = 16 pts, 2nd = 15pts), as opposed to the current system which has a much higher differential (e.g. 1st = 24pts, 2nd = 21pts)
Thanks to everyone who served on the SXP Management Committee during 2015, to those who helped prepare and run our various competitions and to the membership for their continued support of the region.
